Explore and produce in Bolivia

Our history in Bolivia initiated in 1994; since then, Total E&P Bolivia has contributed to the economic growth of the country as partner of the most important hydrocarbon projects and operator of the largest new fields in development.

Pioneer in the implementation of innovative technology, Total Bolivia focuses on exploration and gas production with important investments in mega fields discovered in the Southern Sub Andean zone; fields that make up approximately 48% of the national production of gas.

Total E&P Bolivia is a non-operator party of the San Antonio, San Alberto, and XX-East Tarija (Itau) blocks, since the beginning of the 2000s; participating therefore in the development of these mega fields, which in their best moments, together, produced 32 million cubic meters per day.

On the other hand, it is Aquio and Ipati blocks operator since 2001 and 2003, respectively; processing the hydrocarbons of its fields in the Incahuasi Plant which at the moment has a production capacity of 11 million cubic meters per day.

Additionally, together with GP Exploration and Production SL, (subsidiary of Gazprom), Total E&P Bolivia signed a Service Contract of the Azero Block, on June 30th, 2014, with Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

The affiliate in Bolivia provides gas to the national production committed with operational excellence, a motivated team and commercial compliance, always under highest security standards, respecting the environment, and searching to construct long term relationships with the communities.
